Every pay period, Kingdom inQ Virtual Solutions prepares and distributes your Earnings Statement. This document works similarly to a pay stub, laying out your hours, earnings, incentives, and deductions for that period, along with your direct deposit date. This is part of what your administrative fee covers, KIVS manages this process on your behalf so you always have a clear record of what you've earned.
Sample shown for illustration purposes only, actual amounts vary.
There are two fees billed every pay period, and they cover two different things.
This reflects the partnership itself. You're providing the customer support service, and KIVS provides the administrative support behind it, handling your pay processing, distributing your Earnings Statement, helping you navigate the Arise platform, and stepping in for conflict resolution when it's needed.
This covers your access to the Arise platform itself, including your servicing clients and their systems. This fee comes from Arise directly, not from KIVS.
There's also a one time background check required as part of certification. This typically costs between thirty and seventy five dollars depending on the client, and some clients cover this cost directly. It must be completed through the Arise platform specifically, a background check from a previous job or platform can't be transferred over.
Certification also involves a refundable seat deposit. It holds your seat and confirms your commitment to showing up on day one. Attend the full first day of certification, and that deposit is returned to you. The exact amount is disclosed during the certification process itself.
We know these costs can raise a flag, and that reaction is fair. Independent contractor opportunities that involve any upfront costs get compared to scams often, and we understand why.
But it helps to look at this the way you'd look at a traditional job. A traditional employee has real out of pocket costs too, work clothes, gas or a bus pass, lunch. Those costs just aren't usually labeled as fees, so they go unnoticed. As an independent contractor, your costs are simply named directly instead of absorbed quietly. That's really the only difference.
As an independent contractor, no taxes are withheld from anything you earn, and no healthcare coverage is provided. You're responsible for setting aside and handling your own taxes, the same way any self employed person would. We encourage you to speak with a tax professional or CPA about your specific situation.
