Schedule & Availability
Best Practices For Managing Your Schedule

Build a Schedule That Actually Works For You

From broad availability at assessment time to the schedule you'll keep long term.

Your schedule is built in 30 minute intervals, based on what's available and what you choose to commit to.

Your schedule and your pay are directly connected. Servicing outside the intervals you've committed to, without being scheduled for that time, can affect how that time is compensated. Always confirm you're scheduled before you log in to work.

Building a schedule that actually fits your life, rather than just filling in whatever's open, is part of what makes independent contractor work valuable. Think through your week honestly. Choose intervals you know you can show up for, not ones that sound good on paper but conflict with something else going on.

Whatever schedule you build, keep Arise's 15-hour minimum servicing commitment in mind, combined across every client you support, not per client. You have real flexibility in choosing your intervals, but that flexibility works within this floor, not around it. Build in enough room that a lighter week doesn't put you under the line.

During your Harver Assessment, you were advised to mark yourself available for as much as you honestly could. That broad availability helps you get matched with the widest range of opportunities. Once you have real client visibility and you're ready to build your actual working schedule, that's when you narrow things down to the intervals that genuinely fit your life.

Life changes, and your schedule can change with it. If your availability shifts, reach out to your team lead or your Partner Success Manager (PSM) to talk through adjusting your ongoing schedule. The sooner you communicate a change, the smoother that transition will be.

You can manage your schedule through the Arise platform, either on desktop through your browser or through the Arise on the go mobile app. Use whichever option works best for you.
